“This is a dream come true” – Asake says as he prepares for his O2 Arena concert.
Nigerian Afrofuji and hip-hop artist Ahmed Ololade, known professionally as Asake is delighted as he said that getting the chance to perform on his own at the prestigious O2 Arena is a dream come true.
On August 20, 2023, he is scheduled to perform as the headlining act in London’s 02 Arena, which can accommodate 20,000 people.
Asake was interviewed when he went to the event centre to take a tour and make preparations before the scheduled event.
When asked how he feels, the singer of the hit song “Yoga” said that it felt like a dream come true because it was something he had envisaged and it was fantastic to see it become a reality.
He stated that after shutting down the arena, his next ambition would be to do a 40,000-capacity venue before moving to Wembley Stadium, which has a 90,000-capacity.

His upcoming performance will take place less than a year after he made a big statement by selling out London’s 5000-seat O2 Brixton Academy.
Though the Brixton concert ended in tragedy in December 2022, the YBNL act plans to make a comeback to the city to make amends.
In May, Asake announced the date for the show in a tweet which read; “My London family see you this Summer at The O2 Arena @TheO2 Sun 20th August 2023. Pre Sale Sign 🆙 Pre-Sale Tickets 10am 10.05.23 General Sale 10am 12.05.23 See you all then”.
