2026 is shaping up to be a monumental year for Asake.
The Nigerian Afrobeats superstar surprised fans with the release of his new single, Worship, a high-energy collaboration with French-Algerian DJ DJ Snake, on Friday, March 20, 2026—Eid Day, following the month of Ramadan.

The track marks a spiritually infused and electrifying turn in the Mr. Money era. Blending Asake’s signature Fuji-infused Afrobeats with DJ Snake’s masterful electronic dance production, Worship connects Lagos street energy with the festival mainstages of Tomorrowland.
First teased during their dynamic performance at Red Bull Symphonic in late 2025, the studio version has now arrived, delivering a truly global sound.
Produced by Asake alongside Jbanks, Worship is both hypnotic and anthemic. Asake’s choir-backed harmonies create a soaring wall of sound, while DJ Snake layers deep basslines and shimmering synth textures, transforming what could have been a standard club track into a transcendent piece of music.
The lyrics reflect gratitude and resilience, with Asake singing, “even in darkness, even in brightness, you are with me.”
Speaking on the collaboration, Asake shared, “Working with DJ Snake allowed us to create a song that feels universal. It represents the energy we feel when we connect to something greater than ourselves. I wanted the video to let the music speak for itself.”
DJ Snake added, “The track communicates how we both feel right now. Same energy. Asake came with the vibe he’s known for, and I didn’t want to overthink it. We just made something honest, something people can feel everywhere.”
The accompanying music video mirrors the song’s themes of purity, serenity, and spiritual transcendence, opting for a stripped-back aesthetic that emphasizes reflection and thankfulness amidst Asake’s meteoric rise.
Already generating a massive wave across streaming platforms, “Worship” represents a milestone for Asake as he continues to redefine African music on a global scale—remaining rooted in his Yoruba heritage while delivering a sound for the world stage.
