Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Asake has turned heads online after reportedly acquiring a pair of opulent gold rings, a Cleopatra-inspired piece and an Egyptian hieroglyphic design together valued at $1 million.

The purchase comes on the heels of his highly anticipated joint EP Real, created alongside Wizkid, which has been generating massive replay value and buzzing excitement among fans.

A viral video shows Asake in the VIP section, proudly displaying the luxurious rings, reportedly bought with funds equivalent to around ₦1.3 billion. Beaming with excitement, he flaunted the gold-plated Cleopatra and hieroglyphic rings, making a bold statement of style and extravagance.

Social media quickly erupted with reactions, as fans praised the singer for investing in gold while also celebrating his daring fashion choice.

The purchase reinforces Asake’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s most flamboyant and lavish music stars, combining his chart-topping sounds with unmistakable flair.

Recall, Asake reflected on the early hurdles he faced on his path to stardom, including being sidelined because of his choice to sing in Yoruba.

In a recent chat with Famous TV, the “Sungba” hitmaker opened up about the period when doors didn’t exactly swing open for him.

According to Asake, several show promoters turned him down, claiming his Yoruba-infused style wouldn’t connect widely enough. At the time, the pressure to switch things up was real, but so was his conviction.

“At some point, a lot of people said no to me. They didn’t allow me to perform at shows because I spoke Yoruba. But thank God I didn’t stop, and I kept believing in myself,” he said.
