Nigerian-French singer, songwriter, and recording artist Bukola Elemide, professionally known as Asa, has been slammed with a lawsuit over the song titled “IDG” which features Afrofusion superstar Wizkid.
Asa has been sued by music producer Tempoe over copyright infringement of a song titled ‘IDG,’ featuring Afrobeats star Wizkid, and ‘Love Me Or Give Me Red Wine.’ Both tracks are off her latest studio album, ‘V.’
The lawsuit filed against Asa has producer P.Prime, Apple Music’s Platoon, and distribution company Rue 11 in it. The songs ‘IDG’ and ‘Love Me Or Give Me Red Wine’ have been yanked off all streaming platforms because of the lawsuit.

According to reports, Tempoe originally produced the tracks but disagreed about splitting rights and financials with Asa. The released versions were later (re) produced by P.Prime.
On September 26, the court will hear the lawsuit that was filed on July 1 and decide whether or not the two songs will be allowed to return to streaming services following the issuance of the court’s restraining order.
Asa released her fifth studio album, ‘V,’ on February 25, 2022. The compilation houses 10 tracks with features from award-winner Wizkid, Amaarae and The Cavemen.
