Arsenal reveal plans for open top bus parade if they beat Manchester City to Premier League trophy amid nail-biting title race
Arsenal have revealed their plans to hold an open-top bus parade should they be crowned Premier League champions in two weeks’ time.
Arsenal and Manchester City are in a tight contest for the Premier League title in 2023–24. The Gunners presently lead the league table, one point ahead of Pep Guardiola’s defending champions, who have played one fewer game.’
According to The Daily Mail, the champions will most likely be proclaimed on the season’s final matchday on May 19, with the North Londoners planning a jubilant parade on May 20.
Even though Arsenal leads the Premier League, they do not yet have all the cards because City must lose at least one of their next three games—against Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, or West Ham—in order for them to advance. Arsenal’s plans for a trophy parade might seem a bit early, but they are required since a lot of operational things need to be set up ahead of time, such as getting notices of road closures. Twenty-four hours won’t be enough to settle the title fight, which is likely to stretch to the final day.
The Daily Mail reports that Arsenal’s trophy parade will take place on Monday, May 20. The parade would begin at the Emirates at 5 p.m. local time, travel through the Islington Tow Hall, and return to the stadium.
Manchester City will face West Ham on the season’s last day of play, while Arsenal will host Everton. If all of the results up to that point go their way, and they win on the final day, the Gunners will celebrate their first league title since 2003/04.
