Arsenal agree fee with West Ham for Declan Rice transfer.
Declan Rice will join Arsenal if West Ham agrees to pay £105 million.
The two teams are currently attempting to come to an agreement on the payment plans.
On Wednesday, Manchester City withdrew from the competition to recruit Rice in response to Arsenal’s revised offer of up to £105 million ($133 million).
City had offered a higher amount upfront to match Arsenal’s £90 million deal, but both offers were turned down.
However, Arsenal came back on Tuesday night with a £100 million basic cost and an additional £5 million in add-ons.
Arsenal increased their offer in an effort to land Mikel Arteta, the manager’s main summer target.
If the deal goes through, it will be a Premier League record fee for a British player.
Rice’s contract at West Ham expires in 2024, with an option for a one-year extension.
However, West Ham chairman David Sullivan stated that he anticipated the England international to have played his final match for the team and that he “wanted to go” following the club’s victory in the Europa Conference League.
Since making his West Ham debut in 2017, Rice has appeared in 245 matches for the club.
