Lilly Jay, the estranged wife of Ariana Grande’s new boyfriend, Ethan Slater, is reportedly unhappy to hear he is dating the star.
According to TMZ, the Broadway star’s son’s mother believes he abandoned his family. According to sources, she was also startled that he began dating Grande just months after their divorce, and they are no longer on good terms as a result.
Lilly is also reportedly angry that their toddler, who is due in August 2022, will not have both parents there. According to TMZ, Grande was friends with Lilly and Ethan before they married and used to hang out with them.
Before it was announced that they were dating, Grande was also seen among Ethan’s likes on his social media posts. She liked a number of Instagram postings, one of which was a Mother’s Day tribute to Lilly.
The two allegedly met on the set of the musical they are both working on, Wicked and began dating in January 2023. They were both still involved in their respective marriages at the time.
Grande met Dalton Gomez during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, and they were married for two years. They announced their engagement after 11 months of dating, and they wed soon after in a small ceremony.
The following month, in July, the day before it was announced that she was getting a divorce, she was sighted at Wimbledon by herself and without her wedding band.
