Ayo Labinjoh, the mother of Anu Adeleke, the teenager who claims to be the daughter of Afrobeats star Davido, has publicly responded to Dr. Adedeji Adeleke following his recent press conference dismissing the paternity allegation.

On Wednesday, the billionaire businessman and father of the singer firmly denied the claim, stating that five DNA tests allegedly conducted between 2015 and 2020 returned a 0.00% probability that Davido is Anu’s biological father.
He also alleged that investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo was behind the management of Anu’s Instagram account and claimed that the Adeleke family had cut ties with her.
In a strongly worded statement dated January 21, 2026, Labinjoh rejected several of these claims, particularly those suggesting that her sister, Titi Labinjoh, had been in communication with Dr. Adeleke since the pandemic.
She questioned the narrative that her family was attempting to extort money from the Adeleke household, describing the allegation as both false and hurtful.
Expressing disbelief, Labinjoh said reports that her sister had been in contact with Dr. Adeleke since 2020 were shocking, insisting that Titi only recently expressed fear over the media attention surrounding Anu and its impact on her workplace.
She emphasized that Anu, not her relatives, has borne the emotional weight of the controversy and rejected insinuations that her family sought financial gain.
Labinjoh also addressed claims surrounding control of Anu’s social media presence and Kemi Olunloyo’s role. According to her, Olunloyo initially helped set up Anu’s Instagram page in 2018 and handed it over to the family in 2019.
She explained that the account remained largely inactive for several years because she was not active on social media, before she resumed posting in 2023 during Anu’s 10th birthday celebration.
She further clarified that Anu currently lives with her grandmother, Mrs. Ropo Labinjoh, who occasionally posts videos on the page, stressing that Olunloyo no longer manages the account and has no ongoing communication with her sister.
In a direct message to Dr Adeleke, Labinjoh criticised his decision to speak publicly on Davido’s behalf, stating that the singer himself should address the matter directly.
She denied claims that additional DNA tests were conducted in 2020 and insisted that neither she nor Anu had met with Dr. Adeleke or Davido’s cousin, B-Red, during that period.
Labinjoh maintained that Anu has never met Davido or B-Red and challenged the Adeleke family to publicly release the DNA test results they referenced. She also issued a strong warning, stating that if any harm were to come to herself, her daughter, or her mother, responsibility should rest with the Adeleke family.
Through her rebuttal, Labinjoh reaffirmed that Anu has had no direct contact with Davido or the family members mentioned, denied the existence of undisclosed DNA tests, and restated her family’s control over Anu’s social media accounts, as the controversy continues to spark intense public debate.
