Ghanaian singer, Amaarae has seen her song, Sad Girls Luv Money, top the US Shazam list, dethroning CKay’s global mega-hit, Love Nwantiti.
Sad Girls Luv Money, a song by Amaarae has topped the US Shazam list, beating out Love Nwantiti by Nigerian music star, Ckay.
The top two artists with the most Shazamed songs in the United States around last month were Nigerian Afrobeats star Chukwuka Ekweani, also known as CKay, and Ayodeji Balogun, also known as Wizkid.
It’s no surprise that CKay, the world’s most Shazamed singer, came in the top. His Love Nwantiti remix, which features Axel and DJ Yo, was the most Shazamed song in the world.
Afrobeats poster boy Wizkid’s Essence, which featured Nigerian vocalist Tems, ranked second on the chart at the time.
