Nigerian Afrobeats star AG Baby has opened up about an emotional behind-the-scenes moment that fuelled his energy and passion during his recently concluded London concert.
The singer revealed that the turning point came just before he stepped on stage, when his five-year-old daughter, Adejare, confidently introduced him to the cheering crowd.

Hearing her voice from backstage struck a deep emotional chord and left him with no option but to give his absolute best throughout the performance.
According to Adekunle Gold, the pride and confidence his daughter showed in that moment strengthened his resolve on stage, reminding him of the responsibility he carries—not just as an entertainer, but as a father. He explained that holding anything back after that introduction simply wasn’t possible.
Reflecting further, the singer shared that the experience brought clarity and reassurance. It reminded him that the long nights, moments of doubt, and countless sacrifices made in preparation for the concert were all worthwhile.
He described the night as one filled with overwhelming love, a feeling that renewed his passion and sense of purpose as an artist.
Still riding on the emotional high from the London show, Adekunle Gold also revealed plans to take the concert experience to other cities. He confirmed that Lagos will be the first stop, assuring fans that the wait for the next performance will be a short one.
Since sharing his reflection, fans have flooded social media with praise, applauding the strong bond between the singer and his daughter, while also commending his dedication to his craft and his role as a present, loving father.
Sharing the moment in his own words, AG Baby wrote:
Hearing my little girl’s voice from backstage, confident, proud, bragging about her daddy and calling me onto that stage, I knew I had no choice but to give everything I had. I couldn’t let her down. I couldn’t let you down.
All the nights leading to this show without sleep, dreaming, working, believing, hoping, worrying. But on this night, more than anything else, I felt LOVED. Truly loved. And it made every sacrifice worth it. You are worth it all. Thank you.
I can’t wait to take this experience on the road, starting with my amazing BFF in Lagos. You don’t have to wait long because we go in 4, 3, 2, 1…
