Unexpected Reason for Guinness World Record Disqualification Revealed by Afua Asantewaa
Afua Asantewaa has unveiled the surprising cause behind her disqualification from the Guinness World Record attempt. According to Asantewaa, the infamous “Dumsor” phenomenon might be the key factor behind her unsuccessful bid.
During an interview on United Showbiz, the sing-a-thon participant shared that a plant was initially provided before her performance, but it was abruptly removed once she began. Asantewaa explained that, despite a well-meaning individual offering a replacement plant, frequent power outages disrupted the stability of the setup.
She detailed instances of lights going on and off throughout her attempt, highlighting a particular moment when the power outage lasted for about an hour.
Asantewaa emphasized that her management team would provide additional insights, as she was engrossed in her sing-a-thon endeavour during these critical moments.
“At Akwaaba village there was a plant, but it was taken away. But we had someone who sponsored us with a generator. There was a day when the light went off and when they were switching, it caught fire. It was ECG. The lights went off and I will say that it was 10 minutes. Honestly, if you ask me I think GTA and my team will be the best people to answer because, at that time, I wouldn’t know the best period when it happened. Everything was off, the time, DJ, everything. The light went off for an hour. You asked that at the point when the lights went off, I believed the attempt had failed, right?
