    Afrobeat legend, Femi Kuti and his son Made Kuti have been nominated for the 2022 Grammy Awards for their double album ‘Legacy +‘.

    Legendary Afrobeat star, Femi Kuti and his son, Made have earned their slot on the 2022 Grammy Award nominations list for their double album, Legacy +.

    The father and son released ‘legacy +’ in February 2021; two albums by the duos which were packaged together into one, dominantly rooted in the Afrobeat genre which was invented by Fela Kuti, Femi’s father and Made’s grandfather.

    Both, have been nominated in the “best global music album” category alongside Nigerian counterpart Wizkid, legendary Beninese singer-songwriter, Angélique Kidjo, and two other acts.

    For Femi, this would be his fifth Grammy nomination, while for Made his first.
