African artists steal the spotlight on Spotify’s 30 Songs of the Summer 2024 list
Once again, African artists have made a significant mark on the global stage as they secured key spots on Spotify’s Song of the Summer 2024 list.
The growing acceptance of African music worldwide has reached new heights, as evident in the recent announcement of Spotify’s Songs of the Summer 2024 list. This year, African classics have dominated the airwaves, showcasing the continent’s vibrant musical talent.
Among over 1000 tracks released in 2024, African artists including Tems, Tyla, TitoM, Yuppe, and Burna Boy have all claimed spots on Spotify’s prestigious 30 Songs of the Summer list. Leading the charge, Tems achieved the highest ranking with her debut album “Born In The Wild” and its pre-release track “Love Me Jeje“. TitoM, Yuppe, and Burna Boy followed closely, securing second place with the remix of the viral hit “Tshwala Bam (feat. S.N.E)”, while Tyla also made her mark with the popular track “Jump.”
