AFCON Is Over, Let’s Face Reality – Rudeboy Tells Nigerians

Nigerian music sensation Paul Okoye, famously known as Rudeboy, has urged fellow Nigerians to confront the harsh realities of post-AFCON life.

Fresh off the Super Eagles‘ defeat in the AFCON finals, Rudeboy took to social media on Sunday, February 11, 2024, posing a straightforward question: “How much be bag of rice?”

Known for his candid nature, Rudeboy didn’t stop there. He also inquired about the prices of fuel, cement, and the exchange rate of the dollar. In a witty twist, he even offered to attend any planned nude protests, urging organizers to notify him of the details.

Rudeboy’s Instagram message mirrored his sentiments, urging Nigerians to “face reality” post-AFCON. He wrote, “Now let’s all face reality!! How much be bag of rice? If you wan go protest and go n*cked me I de come watch. I need update of where and when?”

Additionally, he took to his Twitter account, stating, “Fuel, cement, food, dollar, cost of living, insecurity, and dead economy, …. After afcon e go clear. Enjoy the moment ….” In another tweet following the match, he wrote, “Now let’s all focus on our country.”

Rudeboy’s blend of humor and urgency struck a chord with many, resonating as they grappled with the challenges and uncertainties of daily life beyond the football pitch.
