A$AP Rocky Reveals Rihanna Styles Their Sons, Shares Thoughts on Fatherhood and Fashion
During his appearance at the 2024 Footwear News Achievement Awards, A$AP Rocky opened up about his role as a father of two, revealing that his partner, Rihanna, is the one responsible for styling their sons.
The rapper and fashion icon exclusively told ‘PEOPLE‘ on the red carpet that Rihanna takes the lead in curating their children’s outfits, even adding that she sometimes dresses them in matching styles that reflect his fashion.
“Sometimes [Rihanna] dresses them like me with kilts and all of that, but that’s all their moms, man. She got good style and taste,” Rocky said, expressing his admiration for Rihanna’s fashion sense.
He also shared his hopes for their children’s future, saying, “I hope they take away my originality and confidence. It’s in their blood and their genes, no pun intended.”
In an interesting twist, Rocky mentioned how fatherhood has impacted his style, shifting it from “mismatching everything for the sake of it” to embracing “a bit more quiet luxury.”
The “Fashion Killa” artist was at the event to accept the ‘Collaboration of the Year’ award for his partnership with PUMA. In 2023, he was named the creative director for PUMA’s collaboration with Formula 1, debuting their inaugural collection at the Las Vegas Grand Prix that November.
“Thank you to the Fashion Network,” he said. “Shout out to all the other footwear brands, man. I mean, I think unity is what it is.”
Earlier in the year, Rihanna and their sons, RZA and Riot, participated in a family holiday campaign for Savage X Fenty, sporting matching paisley pyjamas. Rihanna humorously commented, “We are officially one of those families that match for the holidays.”
