A social media user has stirred controversy after he slammed celebrities for congratulating Yemi Alade despite her win of the Grammy award.
Last night, April 3rd, the singer received a Grammy certificate for her contribution to Angelique Kidjo’s album, ‘Mother Nature,’ which won a Grammy.
Yemi Alade, Burna Boy and Mr Eazi all featured on her award-winning album and as such, they earned a certificate of recognition from the Grammy for their impact on the album.
A Twitter user had berated celebrities for not celebrating her achievement, he tweeted,
“Can’t see any celebrity congratulating Yemi Alade on her Grammy win, Davido was right after all”.

His tweet sparked outrage on the internet, with many criticizing him for mixing things up. Their explanation was that Yemi Alade received a certificate rather than an award.
