Nigerian singer Fireboy DML has opened up about the absence of guest appearances on his latest album, ZUKO!, revealing that the project turned out differently from what he initially envisioned.

During a recent interview session on X, the YBNL star explained that he had hoped to make the album more collaborative, but things did not fall into place as planned. Rather than force collaborations, he chose to let the project take shape naturally.
“It just didn’t work out, I swear to God. And I just felt like that’s how it’s meant to be for this particular project. I genuinely wanted it to be very collaborative but it just didn’t work out. I don’t force vibes,” he said.
According to Fireboy, the lack of features was not a deliberate decision from the beginning. Instead, he embraced how the recording process unfolded, allowing ZUKO! to stand on its own without guest contributions.
