BNXN has kicked off a new chapter with the release of his latest EP, Still In Charge, arriving on Nigeria’s Independence Day at a time that feels fitting for a project built around confidence and self-assurance.

Released through EMPIRE, the six-track project clocks in at roughly 16 minutes and keeps the guest list tight, with Asake and FOLA joining BNXN across two standout records.
The EP gets underway with Eja Meja, a collaboration with Asake that brings both artists together on the opening track. FOLA takes a different route on Shamaya, while Online gives BNXN the space to carry the project alone.
The latter had already served as the final teaser ahead of the EP, introducing listeners to its themes of quiet confidence and maintaining momentum both at home and beyond Nigeria.
The title “Still In Charge” also extends the creative direction BNXN began exploring with his 2025 sophomore album, CAPTAIN. That project marked another step in his journey toward having greater control over his sound and artistic direction.

The new EP arrives after CAPTAIN and his joint project with Sarz, The Game Needs Us, giving BNXN another release to add to an already active 2026.
Following its release, Still In Charge also made an early appearance on the Apple Music Nigeria albums chart, reflecting the immediate attention around the project. With its compact runtime, selective collaborations and focus on BNXN’s signature vocals, the EP adds another chapter to his steadily evolving Afrobeats catalogue.
