Fido is back with new music, releasing “For Me” as his second single of 2026 and another entry in his growing collection of romance-driven records.
The Oosha Records artist follows up on his September release, “Friends With Benefits (F.W.B.)” with a song centred on devotion, affection, and the comfort of having someone who feels like the right person.
Rather than going for an overly dramatic love story, Fido keeps things simple, focusing on the value of choosing and appreciating one person.
Musically, “For Me” settles into a smooth Afrobeats groove, pairing warm melodies with a laid-back rhythm and polished production. Fido’s calm vocal delivery fits naturally into the record, allowing the song’s romantic message to come through without feeling forced.
The new single also continues a sound Fido has been gradually building around his music. Since his debut EP, Olayemi, the singer has released songs including Lungu and I Miss You Die, while also making appearances on records with established acts such as Wande Coal and Iyanya.
With For Me, Fido keeps the momentum going in 2026, further establishing himself within Nigeria’s growing Afro-romantic scene. The release may not rely on a major sonic departure, but it continues to highlight the melodic and sincere approach that has become a defining part of his artistry.
