Young Jonn is celebrating a major chapter in his career with the release of his latest project, Dear London, a seven-track EP that arrived alongside his first-ever headline show at London’s 12,500-capacity OVO Arena Wembley.
The release comes with a bigger story behind it. After reportedly spending about a decade unable to travel to the UK, the Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer was granted permission to make the trip for his long-awaited London concert. With that return finally happening, Dear London feels like a musical celebration of the moment.
The EP takes listeners through seven tracks, opening with Destiny and wrapping up with Ws in the Chat. In between are songs such as “By 4,” “Shege,” “Elumelu,” “Glass in the Air,” and “Hold Somebody,” giving the project a blend of romance, ambition, and personal reflection.
One of the project’s notable features is its complete absence of guest appearances. Young Jonn handles all the vocals himself, allowing his melodies, songwriting, and production instincts to take center stage throughout the EP.
Money and ambition remain recurring themes, continuing a thread that has featured heavily across Young Jonn’s music. At the same time, the project explores the more personal side of his London experience, with introspective moments sitting alongside upbeat, rhythm-driven productions.
Dear London follows his 2025 sophomore album, Blue Disco, which opened at No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria’s albums chart. It also builds on the foundation laid by his 2024 debut album, Jiggy Forever.
Coming shortly after his recent single Let It Go, the new EP adds another chapter to what has been a busy period for Young Jonn. More than just another release, Dear London captures a significant homecoming moment for an artist finally getting his long-awaited London stage.
