Clean Bandit are opening a new chapter with ‘Company,’ a fresh collaboration featuring American singer Chlöe and Nigerian star Omah Lay.
The new track serves as the first preview of the Grammy-winning group’s upcoming studio album, expected in 2027. It also becomes just the second release from CBX, the independent label Clean Bandit launched as their new musical home.
On ‘Company,’ three different sounds meet naturally. Clean Bandit brings their signature electronic and classical-pop touch, while Chlöe adds her polished pop-R&B vocals, and Omah Lay brings the Afro-fusion edge that has become central to his sound.
At its core, the song explores desire, loneliness, and the simple need to have someone around. The production maintains Clean Bandit’s familiar rhythmic precision, but Chlöe’s vocal runs and Omah Lay’s distinct delivery give the record a more contemporary and cross-cultural feel.
Interestingly, the collaboration came together almost by chance. Clean Bandit’s Grace Chatto and Jack Patterson crossed paths with the other artists while several of them were in Los Angeles, eventually turning the encounter into a studio collaboration.
The creative direction also extends to the song’s official video, which uses muted colours to create an intentional contrast with the lively energy of the record itself.
For Clean Bandit and Omah Lay, however, ‘Company’ represents more than a random link-up. Their creative relationship has reportedly been developing over several years, giving the track the feeling of a collaboration that has been waiting for the right moment.
With electronic pop, R&B and Afro-fusion all meeting in one place, ‘Company’ gives listeners an early glimpse into the sound Clean Bandit could explore as they build towards their 2027 album.
