Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee has spoken about the support he received from Burna Boy during his recent legal troubles in the (UK) United Kingdom.
The entertainer, whose real name is Iweh Odinaka, disclosed this in a video call shared on Sunday, marking his first public comments since being released on bail.
While reflecting on the experience, Poco Lee said Burna Boy remained supportive despite the seriousness of the allegation he was facing. He noted that many people would ordinarily distance themselves from someone caught up in such a situation.
“Nobody would have wanted to associate themselves with something like that, but Burna Boy stood by me, Jago and some of my other guys,” he said.
Poco Lee also explained that he was able to remain mentally composed throughout the period because he maintained that he was innocent of the alleged offence.

Rather than focusing solely on his own situation, he said his bigger concern was the effect his absence could have on the people around him, particularly his associate Jago and their business activities.
“I was just being myself. God sees my heart. My only worries were about my people. Jago could not do anything business, and I didn’t want to stress anyone,” he said.
The dancer added that his mindset would have been considerably different if he believed he had actually committed the offence for which he was accused.
“If I was inside there and I did what I was accused of, I would have felt I was paying for my sins, but since I knew I didn’t do what I was accused of, my mind is pure,” he added.
Poco Lee’s legal troubles followed his arrival in the UK in August for the Davido and Friends concert held at Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14.
The case remains ongoing, with Snaresbrook Crown Court previously scheduling September 15 for plea and trial preparation proceedings.
Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence, and the allegation against him remains subject to determination by the court.
