Nigerian singer Peruzzi has opened up about how his life took a dramatic turn after he first connected with Afrobeats heavyweight Davido, revealing that the encounter quickly pulled him into a whirlwind of luxury travel and fast-moving opportunities.
The singer disclosed a recent conversation with media personalities Falz, VJ Adams, and Tope Olowoniyan, where he reflected on how overwhelming the experience was at the time.
Peruzzi admitted that the sudden change in his lifestyle even affected his personal relationship, saying he briefly neglected his girlfriend of seven years after meeting Davido, as his attention shifted to the rapid developments around his music journey.
According to him, the moment he linked up with the Afrobeats superstar, everything changed almost instantly, with back-to-back international trips and a new reality that felt surreal.
“I didn’t text her or nothing, I was with my guys enjoying life. First of all, I just met Davido, imagine this. You just met Davido. You met him today, tomorrow you are on a flight to Dubai. The next day you’re on a flight to Lebanon. I don’t understand, I’m calling who?. Why do you think, why, why, why? I’m enjoying something that has never happened to me in my life!,” he stated.
His remarks have since sparked conversations online about the fast-paced lifestyle that often comes with sudden fame in the Nigerian music industry, especially when emerging artists get connected to established stars.
