The 2026 edition of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is officially underway in Indio, California, once again drawing massive global attention and placing Afrobeats firmly in the spotlight.

Flying the Nigerian flag this year is Davido, who stands as the only confirmed Nigerian act on the lineup. His appearance alongside global stars highlights the continued rise of Afrobeats on the world stage.
The festival, spread across two consecutive weekends, features a wide-ranging lineup that cuts across genres—from pop and electronic music to rock, reggaeton, and K-pop. Among the headline acts are Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G.
Opening night saw Sabrina Carpenter set the tone with what she described as “the most ambitious show” of her career, alongside performances from rising acts like Teddy Swims and K-pop group KATSEYE, as well as electronic music veteran Moby. The night was capped off by Italian DJ Anyma, who debuted his new audiovisual project, “ÆDEN.”
Saturday’s schedule brings another wave of star power, with Justin Bieber leading the charge alongside electronic heavyweights like Armin van Buuren, Adam Beyer, and David Guetta. The lineup also includes K-pop star Taemin and British act PinkPantheress, alongside legendary musician David Byrne.
The festival is set to close on a high note on Sunday, with Karol G headlining a stacked finale that also features BIGBANG, punk icon Iggy Pop, and electronic legend Fatboy Slim. Other notable performers include Major Lazer, Foster the People, and FKA twigs.
Beyond the music, fans are also being treated to a special outdoor screening of Euphoria Season 3, adding a cinematic twist to the desert experience. For those unable to attend in person, the festival is being streamed live on YouTube, giving audiences around the world a front-row seat to one of music’s biggest annual events.
