Nigerian star Omah Stanley Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has officially released his sophomore album Clarity of Mind, and it has made an immediate impact, debuting at No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria.

Released at midnight on April 3, 2026, the 12-track project arrives after a four-year gap since his debut album Boy Alone in 2022. Ahead of its release, the album had already generated massive anticipation, driven by over 227 million streams from its pre-released singles.
Clarity of Mind presents a deeply personal and reflective side of Omah Lay, capturing an artist who appears to have reached a new level of self-awareness. While Boy Alone centered on loneliness and inner struggles, this new project leans into themes of healing, growth, and emotional clarity, offering what feels like a raw confession of his journey so far.
The album’s previously released tracks—“Don’t Love Me,” “Waist,” and “Holy Ghost”—helped set the tone, combining for over 227 million Spotify streams. New standouts like “Jah Jah Knows” and “Canada Breeze” have already sparked strong reactions from fans, alongside “Water Spirit” and “Coping Mechanism,” which features Elmah as the album’s only guest appearance.
Production on the project is led by Tempoe, continuing a creative partnership that dates back to Boy Alone. The producer also recently worked with Davido and Omah Lay on the Grammy-nominated track “With You,” further strengthening their collaborative chemistry.
The journey to releasing Clarity of Mind wasn’t without setbacks. Omah Lay previously revealed that he had to scrap an earlier version of the album after alleging that someone he trusted copied his sound, forcing him to start over entirely.
Despite the challenges, the singer has remained confident about the project, boldly declaring it could stand as the greatest Afrobeats album of all time, while positioning himself as a defining voice of his generation.
