The management of Nigerian songstress Simi has debunked circulating claims that her marriage to fellow music star Adekunle Gold, popularly known as AG Baby, has crashed.

Reports of a supposed divorce began trending after a document surfaced on social media, alleging that the couple’s union had “irretrievably broken down.” The document further cited emotional, financial, and professional control as reasons for the alleged separation.
However, Simi’s manager, Vincent, has described the claims as completely false and misleading. Reacting to the viral document, he pointed out several inconsistencies that, according to him, clearly show it was fabricated.
“It’s fake and fabricated. First, stage names are not tenable in any court of justice worldwide, as indicated in the document. Even the suit number on the document is backdated to 2024 (SUIT NO HCL/FC/2024/0178),” he said.
Vincent stressed that the use of stage names in what was presented as a legal filing raises immediate red flags, as official court documents require legal names. He also highlighted the suspicious suit number, noting that it appeared backdated, further undermining the credibility of the claim.
The clarification comes as fans of the celebrity couple continue to express relief online, dismissing the rumour as another example of misinformation spreading rapidly across social media.
