One of the close associates of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Aloba, has once again made a heartfelt appeal nearly three years after the artist’s passing.

Primeboy, speaking in a video message on Wednesday, expressed deep concern that Mohbad’s body has remained in the mortuary since September 12, 2023.
The remains were exhumed for an autopsy as authorities worked to determine the exact cause of death, a process that has stretched on far longer than many expected.
With visible emotion, Primeboy called on the family, the public, and the Nigerian government to allow the late singer to finally be laid to rest.
“It’s been almost three years since Mohbad left us.
His body is still in the mortuary. I’m begging the family, I’m begging the public, I’m begging the government, please let’s bury our brother. He deserves a befitting burial.”
Mohbad’s death in September 2023 triggered widespread outrage across Nigeria, sparking protests, intense public debate, and multiple investigations. Autopsy examinations, police probes, and ongoing legal proceedings coupled with reported family disagreements and heavy public scrutiny have all contributed to the prolonged delay in burial plans.
Now, as time continues to pass, Primeboy’s message echoes a sentiment shared by many supporters: that regardless of the unresolved questions, the late singer deserves a peaceful and dignified farewell.
