Trinidadian rap star Nicki Minaj has reacted angrily to remarks made by Trevor Noah, host of the 68th Grammy Awards, during the ceremony.

While addressing the audience on the night, the comedian made a sarcastic reference to Minaj’s perceived support for former U.S. President Donald Trump, joking that she could not attend the event because she was needed at the White House. The comment, though brief, appeared to strike a nerve with the rapper.
Shortly after the ceremony, Nicki Minaj took to her X (formerly Twitter) account, where she posted a series of explosive messages aimed at Trevor Noah. In her posts, she made several allegations, including claims about his sexuality.
She accused the comedian of refusing to “come out of the closet,” a phrase commonly used to describe someone who is believed to be hiding their sexual orientation.
In one of her posts, she wrote:
“Your favorite artist has been practicing rituals in a satanic cult where they take babies from other countries & mutilate & kill them as a form of a blood sacrifice to their God. You see, when your master is Satan, you must constantly shed blood. However, the JIG IS UP. Trevor refuses to come out the closet when everyone in the industry knows his boyfriend. Allegedly,” she wrote.
The comments have since sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and critics debating the appropriateness of Trevor Noah’s joke as well as the nature and tone of Nicki Minaj’s response. As of now, neither the Grammys nor Trevor Noah has publicly responded to her claims.
