Popular skit maker and singer Carter Efe has publicly shown appreciation to Afrobeats superstar Davido for his support while also airing his disappointment over what he described as a lack of recognition from Wizkid.

During a recent livestream, Carter Efe reflected on a defining moment from last year when Davido unexpectedly joined his Twitch livestream.
The appearance didn’t just excite fans—it reportedly set a new record as the highest-viewed Twitch livestream in Africa and gave Carter Efe’s career a massive visibility boost.
Speaking on the experience, Carter Efe praised Davido as someone who genuinely supports others, describing him as a legend who never hesitates to uplift people within the entertainment space.
According to him, Davido’s presence alone was enough to change the trajectory of his journey.
However, his tone shifted when he spoke about Wizkid. Carter Efe expressed disappointment that the singer never acknowledged him, despite releasing a song dedicated to Wizkid that went on to achieve major success. He added that what hurt even more was seeing Wizkid engage with Seun Kuti while ignoring him entirely.
In his words, he said:
“Davido is a legend and a real supporter. He came to my livestream and changed the game for me, but Wizkid couldn’t even say “hi” to me, even after I made a song for him that went number one, yet he had time to reply Seun Kuti.Wizkid no reply me wey drop number one song, ‘Machala’, na their him muzz me. Omo, Davido will live long.”
The comments have since sparked conversations online, with fans weighing in on Carter Efe’s honesty, Davido’s reputation for support, and the expectations artists place on recognition within the industry.
