The Afrobeats scene is set for a major moment as Seyi Vibez and Omah Lay have officially confirmed the release date for their long-awaited joint single, “My Healer.”

The track will drop on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, marking the first collaboration between two of Nigeria’s most distinctive and influential voices.
Tipped as one of the biggest Nigerian releases of the new year, My Healer arrives at a pivotal point in both artists’ careers and is already generating intense anticipation across the music industry.
For Omah Lay, the song signals a long-awaited return to the spotlight. After the global success of his Boy Alone (Deluxe) project in 2023, the Port Harcourt-born singer kept a relatively low profile throughout 2025. Aside from a handful of standout features, most notably on Davido’s Spotify-topping hit “With You,” Lay stepped back from the release cycle, leaving fans eager for the next evolution of his signature “purple” sound. My Healer now positions him firmly back at the center of the conversation.
Seyi Vibez, on the other hand, enters 2026 as a fully independent powerhouse. The “Chance (Na Ham)” hitmaker made headlines in late 2024 after his widely publicised exit from Dapper Music. Following a complete social media wipe and a rebrand under his self-owned Vibez Inc. imprint, My Healer stands as his first major collaborative statement since reclaiming creative control.
Sonically, the collaboration promises a compelling fusion of styles. Omah Lay’s introspective, emotionally charged Afro-fusion meets Seyi Vibez’s gritty street-pop energy, known for its spiritual undertones, Islamic chants, and pulsating percussion. Early reports suggest the track leans toward a mid-tempo, therapeutic groove, living up to its title by blending vulnerability, resilience, and raw emotion.
As the first blockbuster Nigerian pairing of 2026, industry observers are already predicting a strong debut on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, with the record expected to resonate deeply across both mainstream and street audiences.
“My Healer” will be available on all major streaming platforms this Wednesday, setting the tone for what could be a defining year in Afrobeats.
