Asake to Headline Flytime Fest 2025 with Grand Christmas Eve Performance in Lagos

Lagos is about to come alive this December as Afrobeats sensation Asake headlines Flytime Fest 2025 on Wednesday, December 24, at the Eko Convention Center, Victoria Island.
Confirmed through official festival promotions, the announcement positions Asake—popularly known as Mr. Money as the centerpiece of one of Nigeria’s most anticipated “Detty December” celebrations.
The performance is part of his “Mr. Money African Tour,” which also includes major stops in Nairobi and Côte d’Ivoire. Following a remarkable year of international performances and widespread acclaim, Asake’s Lagos show will mark a homecoming celebration for the chart-topping artist.
Fans can expect a high-energy concert experience, complete with Asake’s signature fusion of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Fuji-inspired rhythms, performed alongside a live band and dazzling stage production.
Running from December 21 to 25, Flytime Fest 2025 is set to host some of the biggest names in African entertainment, but Asake’s Christmas Eve headlining act is already being tipped as the defining moment of the festival, promising an unforgettable night for music lovers and partygoers alike.

Recall, Asake made history on Saturday as he headlined the U.S. edition of Red Bull Symphonic at the iconic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, becoming the first African artist to ever lead the prestigious orchestral showcase.
The sold-out concert delivered a breathtaking fusion of Afrobeats and classical music, creating a sonic masterpiece that had the crowd on its feet in awe.
Performing with a 33-piece orchestra, Asake reimagined some of his biggest hits, including “Lonely at the Top” and “Terminator,” transforming them into sweeping symphonic renditions without losing the Fuji and Amapiano energy that defines his sound.
