France concert saga: Kizz Daniel breaks silence, blames show promoters for event cancellation

Nigerian Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel has finally spoken out following the uproar over his cancelled concert in France, which left fans enraged after they waited for hours without a performance.
Earlier reports revealed that the event, originally scheduled to run from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., ended in chaos after the singer allegedly arrived late. Angry fans, some of whom had been at the venue since 4 p.m., were seen leaving in frustration, while others clashed with members of the event team.
However, in a new statement, Kizz Daniel has set the record straight, insisting that the unfortunate incident was not his fault but rather the result of a dispute between show promoters.
The “Buga” crooner explained that he had been fully paid by a promoter identified as @olamidebaron, who later sold the show to another promoter.
According to Kizz Daniel, the second promoter failed to meet the terms of their agreement, leading to a breach of contract and, ultimately, the show’s cancellation.
He clarified:
“First, this wasn’t my fault. Whatever clips y’all are seeing is a beef between the tour agent @olamidebaron and the show promoter. I was paid to come perform in Paris by Colamidebaron in full, he sold the show to another promoter and according to him the promoter breached his contract by not paying him his balance… (I will be posting the notice of breach of contract).”
The singer further revealed that he had been ready to perform and was prepared for his 12:25 p.m. flight, but the promoter’s internal financial dispute caused a delay that prevented his team from boarding on time.
Kizz Daniel explained:
“I’ve bin ready since 6am for a 12:25 pm flight, thankfully madesope shopsydoo my brother was with me at the hotel. We were delayed from flying by Colamidebaron so he could get his money which I wasn’t aware of until later… He resolved the issue with the promoter but we couldn’t make the flight + the next available flight according to Baron was 5:25 pm.”
While the singer’s clarification has sparked mixed reactions online, many fans have expressed relief at hearing his side of the story, while others continue to call for better coordination in international event planning.
As the dust settles, Kizz Daniel is now turning his focus to his upcoming Lagos concert in December, which he promises will be “an unforgettable experience” for his fans.
