Nigerian Afrobeats powerhouse Asake made history on Saturday as he headlined the U.S. edition of Red Bull Symphonic at the iconic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, becoming the first African artist to ever lead the prestigious orchestral showcase.

The sold-out concert delivered a breathtaking fusion of Afrobeats and classical music, creating a sonic masterpiece that had the crowd on its feet in awe.

Performing with a 33-piece orchestra, Asake reimagined some of his biggest hits, including “Lonely at the Top” and “Terminator,” transforming them into sweeping symphonic renditions without losing the Fuji and Amapiano energy that defines his sound.

The blend highlighted his artistic versatility and underscored Afrobeats’ growing global influence.

The night became even more electrifying with surprise appearances from global stars Wizkid, Gunna, Central Cee, Tiakola, and Fridayy, who joined Asake for powerful collaborations on songs like “MMS” and “Happiness.”

Their cameos not only thrilled the audience but also emphasized Asake’s expanding international reach and influence across music genres.

In a special moment, Asake gave fans an exclusive preview of an unreleased track from his upcoming album, Mr. Money.

The introspective song, built around themes of faith, perseverance, and hard work, hinted at a more reflective and evolved side of the artist, instantly sparking online excitement and anticipation for the project’s release.

More than a concert, the night marked a cultural milestone for African music. Asake’s groundbreaking Red Bull Symphonic performance showcased Afrobeats’ power to transcend borders and genres, while cementing his place as one of the genre’s most innovative global ambassadors.

As the final notes echoed through Kings Theatre, one thing was clear: Asake’s Brooklyn debut wasn’t just a performance, it was history in motion: a celebration of artistic brilliance, cultural pride, and Afrobeats’ unstoppable rise on the world stage.
