Davido Launches “5ive Alive Tour” with Record-Breaking Sold-Out Show in Uyo
Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has officially kicked off his “5ive Alive Tour” with a historic, sold-out concert at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The opening show, held before an estimated crowd of 30,000 fans, has already been hailed as one of the biggest live music events of the year.
Davido, renowned for his unparalleled stage presence and catalogue of timeless hits, delivered a stunning performance that seamlessly blended nostalgia, energy, and gratitude.
From classics like “Dami Duro” and “Aye” to his latest single, “With You,” the DMW boss had the stadium roaring from start to finish.

In true superstar fashion, Davido was received in Uyo with a presidential-style welcome. A local brass band and dignitaries greeted him upon arrival, followed by a courtesy visit to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, a gesture that underlined the magnitude of the event.
Adding a touch of surprise to the night, popular TikTok influencer Ivana, widely known for her admiration of Wizkid, opened the show, a move that initially stirred reactions online but ultimately showcased Davido’s spirit of unity and inclusivity within the Afrobeats community.
