    American rapper Yung Miami has sparked major online drama after publicly accusing South African pop sensation Tyla of stealing the concept for her soon-to-be-released single, Chanel.

    The City Girls star took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, October 16, 2025, where she claimed that Tyla’s upcoming track bears striking similarities to a song she once shared privately with the Grammy-winning singer.

    “This girl really ran off with my song and ion know how to feel about it,” Yung Miami tweeted, alleging that she had personally played the track for Tyla before the South African artist began teasing her own version.


    In a follow-up post, she added:

    “Like….. Bitch I’m confused!”

    She later doubled down, insisting,

    “Don’t matter it’s my mf song!!!”

    At the heart of the dispute is the shared use of the word “Chanel”; both songs reportedly center on luxury-themed lyrics. Yung Miami claimed her unreleased song included the hook “Take me to Chanel,” while Tyla’s teased track reportedly features the line “Put me in Chanel.”

    Tyla, who previewed Chanel during a private fan listening event in July 2025, has yet to respond publicly to the allegations. The song is set to be released on October 24, 2025, and is said to be part of her WWP EP era, which she previously described as a bridge to her next full-length album.

    The controversy has divided fans on social media. While some accuse Tyla of copying Yung Miami’s concept, others argue that the theme of luxury fashion, especially Chanel, is too common in pop and hip-hop to be considered theft.

    As both artists remain silent beyond their online posts, the Ravers (Tyla’s fans) and City Girls supporters continue to clash across platforms, making this one of the most talked-about pop controversies of the week.
