Superstar singer Tiwa Savage has opened up about some of the most extravagant gestures she’s ever received, from being offered a private jet ride by a politician to being gifted a Range Rover on her birthday.
In a recent interview, the Somebody’s Son crooner was asked about the grandest gesture anyone had ever made toward her, and her response left fans both amazed and curious.
Tiwa recalled that while she was pregnant, a certain Nigerian politician went all out to impress her by sending his special adviser and a private jet just to fly her out after she had performed at a show with the Mavin crew.
However, she made it clear that she never accepted the offer. “He sent a plane to pick me up while I was pregnant. Obviously I didn’t go,” she said, smiling as she recounted the experience.
The award-winning singer went on to reveal another lavish gesture: a Range Rover that was gifted to her on her birthday. Interestingly, the timing of that gift clashed with a major life event.
“Someone bought me a Range Rover for my birthday, which I returned. It was on the day that my now ex-husband proposed to me. I didn’t know that it was going to be presented that same day,” Tiwa explained.
Her revelations offered fans a rare glimpse into the kind of grand gestures that come her way and the tough choices she sometimes has to make, even in moments that many would consider tempting.
