Portable gifts fan, designer shoe Skepta gifted him in the UK, Sparks Laughter with Hilarious Explanation
Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has once again captured public attention after gifting a fan the same pair of designer shoes that British rapper Skepta had given him during his visit to the UK.
Gistreel recalls that Portable travelled to the UK in 2023, where he linked up with Skepta for their collaborative hit Tony Montana. During their memorable meeting, Skepta was seen handing Portable bundles of cash and praising his raw authenticity, calling him a refreshing presence in an industry “full of insincerity.”
Apparently, Skepta also gifted Portable a striking pair of red designer shoes during that visit, a gift the Zazuu Zeh crooner recently decided to pass on.
In a new viral video, Portable was seen chatting animatedly with a fan while holding up the same pair of red shoes. The singer proudly explained that the shoes came directly from Skepta himself before deciding to gift them to the lucky fan.
Never one to miss a moment of drama, Portable playfully exaggerated the shoe’s “special powers,” claiming Skepta could remotely control it.
“I no buy am for America. Na Skepta gift me this shoe. If you wear am, Skepta fit lock am. Na Skepta get the code,” he said, sparking laughter from those around.
He then urged the fan to sing along to Tony Montana, his collaboration with Skepta, creating a lighthearted scene that quickly made rounds online.
The video has since drawn waves of amused reactions from fans, many praising Portable’s spontaneous generosity and signature humour.
