Award-winning British rapper Dave has finally confirmed the title and release date of his long-awaited third studio album.
The project, titled The Boy Who Played The Harp, is set to drop on Friday, October 24, 2025, his first full-length body of work in four years.

The announcement, made on Wednesday, October 1, immediately set the UK rap scene alight. The album’s title is widely viewed as a symbolic nod to the biblical David, known for soothing King Saul with his harp.
Fans and critics alike see it as a fitting reference for an artist who has built his career on weaving together storytelling, vulnerability, and sharp cultural critique.
Born David Orobosa Omoregie, the Streatham-raised lyricist has earned a reputation as one of the UK’s most incisive voices. His 2019 debut, Psychodrama, framed as a therapy session, won the Mercury Prize and showcased his ability to pair introspection with social commentary.
Two years later, We’re All Alone In This Together (2021) topped charts and further cemented his artistry with explorations of identity, migration, and community struggles.

Speculation is already rife about what direction The Boy Who Played The Harp will take. Earlier this week, Dave wiped his social media pages clean, leaving only a sign-up link for fans, a cryptic move that fuelled rumours of a major announcement. The reveal came with a simple but emphatic tagline, amplifying the anticipation for his return.
Despite not releasing an album since 2021, Dave has remained a dominant cultural force. His 2023 collaboration with Central Cee, Sprinter, became the longest-running number-one rap single in UK chart history, underlining his mainstream reach.
While the official tracklist and guest features are still under wraps, pre-orders for the album have already opened, with exclusive vinyl and cassette editions available.
With two critically acclaimed, chart-topping albums already in the bag, Dave’s upcoming project is shaping up to be one of the most significant releases of 2025. For fans, the countdown to October 24 has officially begun, as they await seeing how the 26-year-old rap titan will redefine his next chapter.
