Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has stirred conversations online after revealing his all-time favourite footballers and musicians during a recent chat in Zurich, Switzerland.

The Afrobeats star was featured in a special “GOAT Talk” session alongside tennis icon Roger Federer during his 24-hour stay in Zurich. The interactive segment asked both celebrities to pick their “Greatest of All Time” across various fields.
When the card “GOAT soccer player” came up, Federer reflected on his childhood idols, naming “Maradona, Zidane, Thierry Henry” as his top choices.
He added that modern greats like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have also been “fantastic, breaking all records.”
Burna Boy, on his part, spotlighted Nigerian talent while mixing in global flair. He said his own GOAT footballers are “Jay Jay Okocha, Victor Osimhen and Ronaldinho.” The response quickly went viral, with many praising him for including Osimhen and Okocha on his list.

The conversation then shifted to music with the “GOAT singer” card. Federer named Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, and Freddie Mercury as his all-time greats. Burna Boy, however, kept it rooted in Nigeria’s indigenous sound, revealing that his greatest singers are Fuji icons such as Saheed Osupa.
The exchange has since trended across social platforms, with fans debating both stars’ picks and applauding Burna Boy for giving Nigerian artistry global recognition.
