Court Reportedly Freezes Kizz Daniel’s Accounts Over Breach of Contract

Popular Nigerian singer Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, better known as Kizz Daniel, has reportedly had his personal and business accounts frozen by a court following a breach of contract dispute.

According to reports shared by entertainment commentator @DAMIADENUGA on X (formerly Twitter), the court also ordered the singer to pay $200,000 in damages after failing to perform at an event in Germany despite receiving part payment.

Kizz Daniel was allegedly contracted for a show in Germany with an agreed fee of $100,000. He was paid $50,000 (approximately ₦74.5 million) upfront but failed to appear for the performance.

BREAKING: A court has ordered the freezing of all personal and business accounts of Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel.

Organizers claim that after the missed show, the singer assured them of a refund but did not fulfill the promise.

Frustrated by the lack of repayment, the event organizers reportedly took legal action, leading to a ruling that includes freezing the artist’s accounts. An Instagram post by blogger Cutie Juls also shared screenshots purportedly showing the payment records connected to the case.

As of the time of this report, Kizz Daniel and his management team have yet to issue an official statement regarding the development.

    Past Controversies

This is not the first time the Buga crooner has faced backlash over no-shows at concerts.

    • In August 2022, he was taken in by Tanzanian police after failing to perform at the Summer Amplified concert despite allegedly receiving full payment. The show’s organizers, Big Step Consultancy, later apologized to fans and vowed to hold those involved accountable. Kizz Daniel later clarified that he was not arrested but only questioned briefly.
    • Again, in July 2022, the singer sparked outrage at his sold-out Afronation US Classic concert in Maryland, where he appeared over four hours late. He was booed and pelted with objects by angry fans after delivering a rushed 30-minute performance.
