Police confirm the arrest of suspects in connection with Lil Kesh’s stabbing and robbery.

The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two men in connection with the violent robbery and stabbing of Nigerian artist Ololade Keshinro, popularly known as Lil Kesh.
The suspects, 25-year-old Mathew Adewole and 31-year-old Mukhtar Muhammad, were apprehended during an intelligence-driven operation at Na’ibawa Quarters, Kano.
Police say the pair were directly linked to the August 19, 2025, attack on Lil Kesh at his residence in Bera Estate, Chevron, Lagos, where the singer was left with deep neck wounds in what investigators described as an attempted murder.
Following the incident, Lil Kesh reassured fans of his recovery in a post on X, writing:
“Life threw me a curveball, but I’m safe, healing, and blessed to be here. I’m grateful for the love, support, and prayers.”

Police spokesperson SP Abdullahi Haruna disclosed that Adewole confessed to carrying out the assault and later transferring ₦2.12 million from the singer’s account into Muhammad’s account using his mobile phone.
The recovered funds have been entered as evidence, while the suspects have been handed over to the Lagos State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.
Haruna described the arrests as a “major breakthrough” made possible through intelligence sharing and community cooperation, in line with Inspector-General Kayode Egbetokun’s directive to intensify intelligence-led policing.
The Command reiterated its commitment to tackling violent crime through strengthened intelligence frameworks and sustained community policing initiatives.
