Premier League Announces August 2025 Player and Manager of the Month Winners

The Premier League has confirmed the winners of its first monthly awards of the 2025/26 season, with both accolades heading to Merseyside.
Everton’s Jack Grealish has been named Player of the Month for August, marking his first individual honor since joining the Toffees on loan. The 30-year-old winger played a pivotal role in Everton’s strong start to the campaign, registering four assists in matches against Brighton and Wolves.
His creative spark saw him top the league for assists during the opening month, a statement return for a player whose career had stalled at Manchester City after his £100 million move in 2021.

Grealish emerged as the winner from an eight-man shortlist that featured Riccardo Calafiori, Hugo Ekitike, Marc Guéhi, Erling Haaland, João Pedro, Antoine Semenyo, and Dominik Szoboszlai. His form has already endeared him to the Goodison Park faithful, who will be hoping he continues to deliver throughout the season.

On the managerial front, Liverpool boss Arne Slot claimed Manager of the Month, edging out Everton’s David Moyes. The reigning Manager of the Season has picked up right where he left off, guiding the Reds to victories over Bournemouth, Newcastle United, and Arsenal to remain the Premier League’s only unbeaten side in August.
Slot’s success comes amid a summer of significant change at Anfield, with big-name arrivals including Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, and Jeremie Frimpong. While new signing Alexander Isak is yet to feature, the squad’s depth has already proven valuable. This marks Slot’s second Manager of the Month award, his first having come in November 2024.

Both awards are decided through a combination of public votes, input from club captains, and the judgment of a Premier League panel. Recognizing consistency, impact, and excellence, these honors remain some of the league’s most respected accolades — often serving as milestones in the careers of players and managers alike.
