Afrobeats superstar Davido has responded in good humour to a pastor’s unusual piece of wedding advice, which has been making waves across social media.

Fresh off his lavish white wedding to wife Chioma in Miami over the weekend, the Nigerian hitmaker, born David Adeleke, took to Instagram to share a lighthearted yet memorable moment from the ceremony.
In the now-viral video, one of the officiating pastors playfully drew inspiration from Davido’s chart-topping hit Unavailable to deliver a message about marital commitment.
“Davido, I give you credit because when… the world is watching me, I know. David, I remembered last year that one of your songs said, ‘I am unavailable.’ I know there are many women in your band. Some wanted to breathe out of you and will continue to post your pictures. Even today, some will sleep with your picture under their pillows. Please tell them I am no longer available,” the pastor said, prompting laughter from the crowd.

Davido’s reaction was just as cheeky as the pastor’s words. Posting the clip on his Instagram story, he captioned it: “Clear road!! I Mount” — a playful announcement that he’s officially taken and ready to embrace married life.
The wedding itself was a spectacle of love and celebration. During the exchange of vows, Chioma described Davido as her “love, best friend, and the calm in her storm,” pledging to walk by his side forever.
Davido, in turn, declared that nothing compared to sharing a stage with her, calling her his “love, life, and hope.” He reflected on how she quietly entered his life yet became “the loudest” part of it, appreciating that she saw his true self and still chose him.
The moment, both romantic and lighthearted, captured the joy, authenticity, and deep bond that define the couple’s relationship.
