Odumodublvck backs Pastor Adeboye’s call for billion-naira church donations

Nigerian rap star Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has openly backed Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s recent call for members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) to contribute “billions” towards church projects.
The appeal, made during a service, has sparked heated discussions across social media, with some questioning its necessity and timing.
However, Odumodublvck, in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, said he found nothing wrong with the request and would personally oblige if he had the means.
“If I had ₦1bn, I would gladly hand it over to RCCG without hesitation,” he wrote, adding that contributing to the church is a personal choice rather than an obligation.
“It is not by force to serve the Lord; they did not say that if you do not drop ₦1bn, you will not enter heaven. As for me and my household, we will continue to support the work of Christ shamelessly,” the rapper continued.
He also pointed out that donations are vital to keeping church activities running smoothly — an aspect he believes critics often overlook. His remarks have since stirred fresh debate on the intersection of faith, finances, and free will in religious giving.
IF I HAD A BILLION TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE RCCG I WILL DO IT AND EVEN MORE.
IT IS NOT BY FORCE TO SERVICE THE LORD
THEY DID NOT SAY IF YOU DO NOT DROP 1B YOU WILL NOT ENTER HEAVEN.
AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSEHOLD,
WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF CHRIST SHAMELESSLY NO MATTER…— AKPORSTLE INDUSTRY MACHINE ⚙️ (@Odumodublvck_) August 11, 2025
