Badman Dafe shines on “Rubber Style,” a smooth Afro-dancehall vibe that hits home.

Badman Dafe, the fast-rising Nigerian artist known for his unique fusion of Afrobeat, R&B, and Dancehall, delivers a captivating new track titled “Rubber Style.”

This release is the first single from his upcoming EP SEXTAPE, and it reflects his growth, confidence, and mastery of his sound. Produced by Lynzz and recorded in his home studio in Lagos, “Rubber Style” showcases Dafe’s authentic voice and his gift for storytelling through music.

    Smooth Delivery, Deep Message

From the very first beat, Rubber Style sets a mellow but catchy tone, balancing rhythmic drums with smooth guitar and piano melodies. The song explores themes of self-confidence, attraction, and ambition, told through vibrant lyrics and relatable energy. Badman Dafe is unapologetically confident in his artistry and direction, something he makes clear in the line:

“Make everybody notice, Badman me no ready to stop, me heading to the top.”

This lyric stands out as both a declaration and motivation; he isn’t slowing down for anyone, and his path is upward.

    Charisma Meets Romance

Badman Dafe doesn’t stop at ambition. The track also dives into his charismatic appeal and romantic allure, delivering playful yet smooth lyrics that express how he captures attention, especially from the ladies. He sings:

“The girls dey love me, maybe because I’m hot. Me I give them rubber style, all the girls wan jump on me.”

Here, the artist blends charm and wit effortlessly, tapping into his own real-life experiences, as he has openly stated. These lines highlight the playful energy of the song, making it an instant hit for dance floors and night parties.

    Afrobeat Meets Dancehall

“Rubber Style” stands out for its rich production and versatile vibe. Badman Dafe blends Afrobeat grooves with a dancehall bounce and R&B undertones, crafting a sound he calls “Mrsound.” The track’s tempo is intentionally relaxed, giving space for the lyrics to breathe and allowing listeners to vibe along with the emotional current of the song.

Listeners will instantly notice the influence of Burna Boy in Dafe’s vocal style and flow, a comparison that feels earned, not forced. His delivery carries a smooth grit and swagger, the kind you’d expect from an artist who grew up inspired by greats like Michael Jackson, Usher, Tory Lanez, and modern Afrobeat icons.

    From Lagos to the World

Hailing from Delta State and making waves from Lagos, Badman Dafe is already building a loyal fan base with his energetic live performances and engaging personality. His past stage moments, like throwing his shirt into the crowd, have become unforgettable highlights for fans. Dafe’s international momentum is only getting stronger now, as he plans a European tour and collaborates with Nigerian music stars like Terry Apala, Monaky, and Zlatan.
