Tiwa Savage Parts Ways with Manager Mekka Akunyili, Appoints Vanessa Amadi as New Rep

Tiwa Savage Ends Partnership with Manager Mekka Akunyili
Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage has officially cut ties with her former manager, Kemi “Mekka” Akunyili, and is urging the public to stop engaging him for any business on her behalf.
The award-winning singer announced a series of Instagram Story posts on Thursday, where she also introduced her new manager, Vanessa Amadi, as the sole point of contact for bookings and professional inquiries going forward.
In the strongly worded message, Tiwa expressed disappointment over persistent confusion despite previous notices. She stated that she’s had to take the matter public after continued reports of funds being paid to Mekka’s personal account for upcoming shows—engagements she insists she will not honour.
“I do not work with Mekka anymore,” she declared.
“Please for bookings contact vanessa.amadi@vapr.co.uk. Any bookings that go through any other channel will be void and you will lose your money.”
While she typically avoids airing private matters online, the mother of one said this was necessary due to the number of people still reaching out to Mekka for deals, even after repeated warnings.
“I hate coming on social media for this, but I can’t reach every promoter individually,” she said. “Even if it eventually gets to me, I will reject the booking if it came through him.”
She emphasized that any further financial engagements made through her former manager would be considered invalid and that she won’t be held responsible for any losses.
Tiwa’s message serves as a clear boundary and final reminder to fans, promoters, and industry players to update their contacts and respect her current team structure.
