The program, which is scheduled to kick off its first activation in Lagos, Nigeria this August, is open to women from all walks of the music business.

From singers and producers to engineers and talent managers, the initiative encourages participation from every corner of the creative space.

Applications for the inaugural Lagos edition are currently ongoing through leadingvibe.com, with a submission deadline set for July 13, 2025.

Tems’ new venture is seen as a natural extension of her unwavering commitment to representation, inclusivity, and structural change within the male-dominated music industry.

While she continues to break records and garner international acclaim for her work, the artist remains rooted in a mission to uplift others, particularly women whose talents often go unrecognized.

By launching ‘Leading Vibe,’ Tems aims to build a strong and interconnected community of female professionals across Africa one that champions innovation, supports career growth, and nurtures the next generation of women reshaping the sound and structure of African music.

The announcement has been widely applauded by fans, artists, and industry stakeholders, who hail it as a timely and visionary step in addressing gender disparities in the music world.

As the countdown begins to the Lagos launch in August, all eyes are now on the impact this initiative will make, not just in Nigeria, but across the African continent.
