On June 30, 2025, Nigerian global music sensation Rema made history as he headlined the iconic Accor Arena in Paris, France, delivering a performance that further cemented his place among Afrobeats royalty.

The Grammy-nominated star thrilled thousands of fans with an electric set packed with the chart-topping hits that have defined his career since bursting onto the global music scene in 2019.

The event marked a major milestone in his ongoing world tour, which follows the success of his critically acclaimed sophomore album, ‘HEIS,’ a project that earned him a Grammy nod and serves as the backbone of his current performances.

As part of the star-studded night, Rema brought out fellow Nigerian rap heavyweights Odumodublvck and Shallipopi to perform their fan-favourite collaborations ‘War Machine’ and ‘Benin Boys,’ respectively—both of which drew massive cheers from the crowd.

One of the standout elements of Rema’s performances on this tour has been his bold statement on Afrobeats’ hierarchy. As has become customary during his shows, the artist shared the stage with wax figures of Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, collectively referred to as the “Afrobeats Big 3.” Rema’s symbolic inclusion of himself among these titans visually underscores his now-famous declaration from his song ‘Hehehe’:

    “There’s no longer a big 3; there’s now a big 4.”

The Accor Arena concert adds Rema to the short list of Nigerian artists who have headlined the prestigious venue, joining Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, and Asake—a testament to his soaring international profile.

This monumental show also highlights Rema’s growing impact as one of the leading figures in the global exportation of Afrobeats. His smash hit ‘Calm Down,’ featuring Selena Gomez, holds the record as the first African-led song to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify, reinforcing his superstar credentials.

With this latest achievement, Rema continues to blaze a trail for the new generation of Afrobeats artists, delivering on the promise of global domination—one stage at a time.
