Davido Set to Make History with 10-City Stadium Tour Across Africa

Afrobeats megastar Davido has just raised the bar once again, unveiling his boldest move yet — a 10-city stadium tour across Africa, titled the “5IVE African Tour.”

If all goes according to plan, this could mark a historic first for a Nigerian artist: a stadium tour for Africans, in Africa, on this unprecedented scale.

Announced during a recent interview and amplified by his tweet, “CANT WAIT TO BRING THE TOUR HOME !!,” Davido confirmed that the tour will take him to 10 major cities across the continent, each hosting a stadium-level concert — a feat only a few African musicians have dared to attempt, let alone on this magnitude.

The “5IVE African Tour” is a follow-up to Davido’s acclaimed 2023 Timeless world tour, which saw packed arenas in the U.S., Europe, and a few select African countries. But this time, the energy is fully concentrated on celebrating the continent that birthed his sound.

    Why This Is Historic

If successfully executed, Davido could become

    • The first Nigerian artist to headline stadiums in 10 different African cities on a single tour.
    • One of the few African musicians to organize a self-led stadium tour entirely within the continent.
    • A trailblazer for Afrobeats artists looking to build global legacies from Africa outward.

Stadium shows in Africa come with their own set of challenges — logistics, infrastructure, security, and local partnerships — but Davido has proven time and again that he thrives on pushing boundaries.

His massive fanbase, combined with the rising demand for Afrobeats worldwide, gives this tour the legs it needs to be both commercially and culturally seismic.

    What’s Next?

While exact dates and cities haven’t yet been revealed, fans expect major stops like:

    • Lagos, Nigeria
    • Accra, Ghana
    • Nairobi, Kenya
    • Johannesburg, South Africa
    • Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire
    • Dakar, Senegal
    • Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
    • Kigali, Rwanda
    • Kampala, Uganda
    • Luanda, Angola

With this move, Davido isn’t just touring — he’s planting a flag in African entertainment history. If pulled off successfully, the “5IVE African Tour” could cement his place as not just a global star but a true continental icon.
