Nigerian artist Omah Lay has etched his name in Afrobeats history, joining the ranks of Burna Boy and Rema with a groundbreaking achievement on Spotify.
In a monumental feat, Omah Lay’s debut album Boy Alone has surpassed 1 billion streams on the platform, a testament to the artist’s growing global influence and the international appeal of his sound.
Released in July 2022, Boy Alone features chart-topping singles such as Soso, which has amassed over 285 million streams, and Understand, with 169 million streams. The album also saw a notable collaboration with Grammy-winning megastar Justin Bieber on Attention, which has garnered over 110 million streams.
